Experienced executives with multi-decade industry expertise

  • Mr. East is currently the Chief Executive Officer of an SEC registered investment advisor. Mr. East is a 40-year real estate investment banker and securities analyst. He built and ran Wells Fargo’s real estate investment banking business for over a decade starting in the early 90’s. In that capacity, he has completed over 142 large-scale real estate transactions including 28 REIT IPOs and other transactions totaling more than $20B. He has started two real estate businesses in investment banking and investment management. He has served on the board of Senior Resource Group, a Starwood Investors backed senior housing developer manager, Excel Trust, a $2.3B publicly traded community shopping center REIT sold to Blackstone, Comunidad Realty a minority owned affordable multifamily operator, and RedHill Realty. He served on the Advisory Board of USC’s Lusk Center which runs the MRED program at USC, Ernst and Young’s Audit Committee Network and NARIET’s Associate Board of Governors. Mr. East has a BA in Finance from Loyola University, an MBA from Loyola University.

  • Ms. Picard is the former CEO of EQ/Blackstone, the asset manager for Blackstone’s office portfolio where she was responsible for sourcing new deals, repositioning office assets, maximizing their value and exiting the investment as the office market was shifting. Prior to joining EQ in 2016, she worked as a real estate executive for Skanska developing office and residential properties while also guiding investments for the company in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. At Canyon Ranch Spa and Resorts, Ms. Picard drove the expansion of the experiential hotel brand in developing a multi-towered residential hotel spa destination in Miami, Florida. Prior to Canyon Ranch, she developed several office projects for Hines Interests. Her career has touched 7+ million square feet of ground-up development valued in excess of $6 Billion. Ms. Picard holds dual Masters degrees; one in Real Estate Development and the second in Urban Planning and economics, both from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.​

  • Mr. Buchanan spent most of his career as an investor in, and manager of, real estate debt, real estate assets and real estate related companies. He participated in the creation and management of real estate companies focused on real estate investment management, senior housing, commercial real estate debt and distressed residential mortgages. He served on the Investment Committee and / or the Board of Directors for each of these companies. He has also invested in the equity and/or debt of various real estate related companies including companies involved in i) real estate market information and analytics, ii) wholesale market centers, iii) parking technology, iv) voice-controlled enterprise wearables for the “brick and mortar” retail, hospitality, and manufacturing industries and v) tenant engagement and building operations software for commercial office buildings. In conjunction with these activities, Mr. Buchanan served as a member of the Boards of Directors or Advisors of companies in the following sectors - senior housing, real estate information and analytics, investment management and investment banking, distressed residential mortgages, parking software and hardware services, and most recently tenant engagement and building operations software for commercial office buildings where he also served as its interim CFO. Mr Buchanan graduated with merit from the US Naval Academy and served as an Officer in the US Navy on a Nuclear Submarine. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School

  • Mr. Ballard is currently the chief financial officer and chief investment officer for RedHill Realty Investors, an owner/operator of multifamily properties in the Western United States. Prior to this he was a managing director responsible for the finance and accounting activities of IndCor Properties, Inc. (a holding of the Blackstone Group (NYSE: BX) that owns over 100M SF of industrial assets) and as one of its first senior management hires, established and managed all financial and accounting activities. He has Represented property owners and investors with the acquisition/disposition of over $9B of multifamily and commercial assets, including over 20M SF of commercial assets, over 30K multifamily units and 1K acres of land. He has been Involved in the origination of over $2B of debt and equity financing. Mr. Ballard graduated from Duke University.

  • Mr. Dixon is currently the Chairman and Managing Partner of RH Capital Partners, and President, CEO of RedHill Realty Investment Management, LLC. RH Capital is a private equity Investment Management firm seeking to invest for a collection of families, high net worth individuals and institutions in select, strategic business opportunities. RedHill Realty Investment Management is a nationally recognized investor, developer, and operator of institutional multifamily properties nationwide. Dixon has held key positions in national and global companies in both Private Equity and Real Estate Investment. Dixon Headed Insignia/ESG Capital Markets platform, a New York based NYSE global private equity business--where he led experienced teams in equity, debt, and structured finance executions. Prior, Mr. Dixon was the Global Co-Head of CB Richard Ellis Institutional Accounts Group. In this capacity Dixon founded and directed CBRE's Multifamily Housing Group, now one of the industries pre-eminent global intermediaries and advisors. Mr. Dixon holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism/Business from Brigham Young University, with Graduate studies at Stanford University.
